Music Theory Lessons operates Worksheet Studio, a web application for music educators at worksheets.musictheorylessons.net. This policy describes our practices for that service.

We collect information in these ways:

• Account information — email address, display name, and authentication identifiers when you create an account or sign in.
• Google sign-in— if you choose "Continue with Google," we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google through our authentication provider. We use this information only to create and maintain your Worksheet Studio account. Google's own privacy policy governs how Google handles your data before it is shared with us.
• Saved worksheets and settings — worksheet configurations, saved templates, and related content you store in your account.
• Subscription and billing — subscription status, plan type, and payment history. Payment card numbers are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card details on our servers.
• Product usage — allowlisted analytics events about how you use the product (for example, which generators you open or whether a worksheet was generated successfully). We do not store raw IP addresses in our application database for analytics.
• Communications — if you contact us or subscribe to email updates, we keep the information you provide so we can respond.

We use the information above to:

• Provide, operate, and improve Worksheet Studio
• Authenticate you and keep your account secure
• Save your worksheets and subscription entitlements
• Process payments and manage Studio Club billing
• Send transactional emails such as sign-in links and billing receipts
• Understand product usage and fix problems
• Respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information.

We use trusted third parties to run the service. They process data on our behalf:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting
• Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Vercel — application hosting and content delivery
• Google — optional sign-in through Google OAuth, and Google Analytics when enabled on our site

Each provider has its own privacy practices. We share only the information needed for them to perform their services.

We use session cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences such as theme settings. Analytics cookies may be set when Google Analytics is enabled. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work if essential cookies are disabled.

We keep account and saved worksheet data while your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to remove your data, we delete or anonymize personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain records for billing, security, or legal compliance.

We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Worksheet Studio is designed for music educators. Students typically use printed worksheets in class rather than creating their own accounts. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you
• Export your saved worksheet data
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Disconnect Google sign-in by using a password-based account or deleting your account

Worksheet Studio is operated from Canada. If you access the service from outside Canada, your information may be processed in Canada or in the countries where our service providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws than your jurisdiction.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
